Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to share the January 2026 edition of the RC06-18 Newsletter, marking the first issue of the year. This edition highlights recent scholarly contributions from members of the Research Committee on Political Sociology, with a particular focus on newly published books, journal articles, and ongoing research agendas.

The newsletter features selected publications by RC06-18 members across diverse thematic areas, including political sociology, critical theory, migration studies, gender, media and culture, public opinion, and global social change. Special attention is given to recently released and forthcoming books, as well as peer-reviewed journal articles published in 2025 and early 2026.

This issue also includes updates on research projects, public sociology initiatives, and selected academic activities, reflecting the breadth and vitality of RC06-18’s international scholarly community.

We warmly encourage members to continue sharing information about upcoming events, conferences, calls for papers, and research initiatives, which will allow us to further strengthen academic exchange and the political and social engagement of RC06-18 in future editions.
